Do The Markets Behave Like The Weather?

Hey people, today while browsing the Internet, I found a very nice comment about a Meteorologist known as "Blackberry", concerning his professional specialty in the military.

And his comment goes as follows:

I’m in the military, but I do meteorology in the military, and people seem to think we actually can predict the weather. We follow a system, and we know many of the factors that determine weather, but it’s not a black and white field like mathematics. Some parts of the atmosphere are still a mystery and we don’t know why patterns change randomly.

To give due credit to Blackberry, here goes the link from where I found his comment, and you might want to ask him a question or something =)

I have highlighted in blue the words that represent ideas, concepts and even emotions we feel while facing the International Currency Markets.

My challenge to you is simple, please choose a word, and in the context of this comment, please tell us how you feel about it =)

mmm, True. Even after so many trading strategies and systems, there are many changes in the market that are very strange.

Yeah, and we should notice the interesting fact that even people working in fields completely unrelated to financial trading, set their minds pretty much in the same way as we do.

I agree with the mysterious behaviour. But I think forex market is even more mysterious than weather. There are "some" parts in weather that behave unexpectidly. But Forex market "misbehave" often

True in forex. But unlike weather, forex traders know that it is impossible to predict the forex. Prediction in forex is a dream cannot come true. No matter how much developed we are or we will be in future, accurate prediction is impossible.

The mention of a system to predict the weather or FOREX, suggests to me that the weather or FOREX is not random, as a system itself is not random. If the weather or FOREX complies with the system then one or the other is following one or the other thing.

FOREX is not random. Why? People or programmed systems are making decisions, and those decisions are far from random. The only elements of randomness in FOREX are natural events. When we make a trading decision, it's not random, it's a thought out strategy. Essentially, EVERY movement in the FOREX market is a thought out strategy. Banks don't randomly buy or sell, neither do fund managers. If the market was truly random, then tossing a coin or rolling a die would be a good strategy. An news announcement is not random. Announced or not, it was planned by someone. If the weather is so similar ot FOREX, why not use it to make trading decisions? If the wind blows North go long. If it rains go short, if temperature is below a certain level trade a range, etc.

I do not really beleive the market changes. The only thing that changes in Forex is the amount of money trades. The only thing there is in forex is volatility, and that is the beauty of the market, At times is less volatile or more volatile than other times. Moreover you dont have to predict the market, its almost impossible, you should follow the big move and you will neva get caught out...

But sometime I really confused with market movement, sometime fast and sometime very slowww......I believe number of "BigBoy (people/broker with big money)" is not much as retail trader (trader with small capital),,,,,,,,, and as my opinion, people (especially bigboy) will repeat their trading pattern,,,but the truth is market always changed the pattern.

My assumption of this condition,,,whether the bigboy is planning something against 'All Aggregate Big Account'?......or market actually "war zone" only for BigBoys?....or market waiting until 'Huge floating loss in market'.....or else?.....so it make Markets behave like weather...(no Bigboy, no market)....

That's why it's a prediction, you can't be certain. but some people are just good at it!
