MAs (SMA or EMA) alone can not be powerful enough to make u profitable. There should be an additional indicator to analyze market movements. Similarly fundamental analysis is also necessary.

I know many traders will deny my opinion but in my opinion MAs can be used as supportive indicators and not the "only indicator" to trade.

Have u tried it with another indicator? If yes, how u used it?

Overall however do not trust indicators :-) just look at naked Price Action and Volume!

EMA are very good fro trading and specially 20 - 200 EMA can be used for trading and can get better results for a trader .Also they can be used on different time frames .
