Pair= Eur/Usd and Gbp/Usd
Chart Timeframe= 5-min
Indicators = MACD (5,8,9), SAR (0.1,0.11)

Trade during most volatile times of the day.

Put an SAR on MACD and one on chart. When both SAR are in same direction, enter trade. If both r moving upwards then buy and vice versa.

It is very simple yet effective scalping strategy.

Thx for sharing.

I have never used SAR so dont know logic behind this system. Btw what is the expected success rate of this strategy?

Why r u using fixed SL and TP while using SAR? Shouldnt it be a trailing Stop?

Same question. Even though I have used SAR rarely but always used it with trailing SL.

Yes. SAR is usually used with trailing SL but as this is a scalping strategy and not a trailing SL strategy, so fixed pip SL is used which yeilds better results as compared to trailing SL.

I liked scalping strategies when I started trading. I looked at scalping as a way to maximise profit by increasing my trade frequency. But with time, I have learned that it is way too risky for me as I have lost most trades while scalping.

hmmm. That would be an interesting use of SAR. Have you tried this strategy on demo or real account?

I have used SAR a lot in starting days of my trading. It was really helpful for me but strategy wasnt very consistent. I tried to make strategies using MACD, RSI and SAR this indicator.

Nowadays I use naked chart to analyze market behavior.

You got to be extra sharp with using of scalping strategy, as it’s not something that will work just by being normal. The right balance is what decides for our success and failure. I have been able to manage it extremely nicely through OctaFX broker since they have it all from lowest possible spreads at 0.1 pips to high leverage up to 1.500 and then one can even use their deposit bonus that’s up to 50%, it’s really fantastic and irrelevant to what strategy we use, it works.
