I would need around $15k to $20k equity to make good return. I will not trade it myself but I will choose to follow 4 to 5 excellent traders.

I had a serious though about it and came to the conclusion that most of the money you need is just for your personal living. Here is my though:

* I would need 50k€ just for personal expenses (one year of living and not depending from trading)

* I would need much less to trade since I can benefit from the Broker Leverage, let's say.. 10k€.

Are these figures making sense to you? and if not, why?

Cheers

David

If we take initial investment as $10k. Lets assume 5% profit per month (after deducting all losses and etc). It means $500 per month (trading 20 days per month). I am still single so its enough for me :).

If I can approach 4 to 5 excellent traders, I will immediately invest $10k[grin]. Reason of not investing $10k is that I cannot find those excellent traders :).

In my trade experience, I get monthly profit between 1% - 10%.........So , to become trade for living / full time, I need $10k,,,,, with assumption profit bigger than loss......so that I get $500 - $1000 income per month.

In Indonesia, that amount of money is enough to fullfil basic needs & pay basic expenses...

as long as you can make more than you an make from a work then trading forex full time can be better.actually it is all about how professional you are.in forex trading there is no limits of earnings.if you will trade conservative you can still make more than any job you will have.but if you think you are not professional enough then it is better to stay with your job and dont plan to be fulltime trader since you need a salary to survive.

15k - 20 k is a big amount of equity to start trading with and I think a trader needs to choose the capital based on his goals and targets and his risk percentage and profit percentage. One can start with 1000 $ too and it is a decent amount to start trading with .

About 30k is a reasonable amount if you are able to trade 10% a month, depending where you live.

I think for a starter 1000$ are enough to make it full time because if he invest more than he may put all on risk.

I always advice to new trader that decide to invest wisely but always invest in parts for this a trader should divide his investments into five parts and invest step by step he may lose first three parts in forex but next one enhance his chances to succeed this is the same thing that i use to enter in this market.
