How do I back-test?
I heard that back testing is very good way to test your strategies. Can anyone tell me the way I use it for my advantage. Detailed instructions on its usage will be highly appreciated.

Its all about trading on historical data. Some software is used to backtest. Many EAs claim on the basis of backtest that they are high profitable. I dont know exactly which software you should use. Try googling it

How about back-testing manually. It is a lot of fun and you will understand the trading strategies. You can develop your own strategies based on manual back-testing. Forex tester is a good software for backtesting. But its not free. Dont know about free software. Some people say that you can use excel to back test. But it requires you to have historical data on your computer that can be imported to excel

backtest is done in two ways with mannualy and 2nd is auto by ea which one is you are trying to do.

You need to back tst your trading strtegy manually and try to trade with the same in demo account the way ou will trade in real account and also try different indicators and trading styes.
