Let's face the facts. The overwhelming majority of sports bettors lose over the long term than win. The industry was designed this way. This does not mean that everyone loses-plenty of people make a living doing so. The long term winners won't be found congregating in the popular sports betting forums, and you shouldn't either.

The first problem with sports betting forums is the sheer number of square bettors that linger there for companionship. Trying to learn how to become a smart (or sharp) sports bettor is a daunting enough task as it is. Trying to learn how to become sharp in an internet betting forum is near impossible with all of the squares commiserating over their 13 team parlay just missing. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that a 13 team parlay in a sports forum on the internet is a rule, not an exception. Hopefully, I don't have to suggest that you never, ever play a 13 team parlay.

The next problem is the many distractions that take place in a sports betting forum. The 'babe of the week' post, the 'I love to pick my nose' post, and all of the other circus sideshow nonsense that will distract you from your goal (profit). It is easy to start mingling with the squares and becoming internet pals with these folks, but I advise you not to do so. Soon you'll start thinking like them and acting like them. This is not to say that the people that hang out in the sports betting forums aren't nice folks, but they don't win long term. I've spoken to and befriended enough of them in my day to know this for a fact, for better or for worse.

The most important reason to stay out of sports forums on the internet is your time is much too valuable to waste. The time you spend in a sportsbetting forum looking for the perfect betting system or the best handicapper keeps you from doing the research for yourself. Thinking you can simply outsource sports betting research by finding the hot handicapper is a losing proposition-this I guarantee. Doing your own research and coming to your own conclusions is the only way to get a clear understanding of the intricacies of sports betting numbers.

I can't reiterate enough that aside from pure entertainment, betting forums should be avoided. There isn't enough valuable betting information for longevity in the betting industry. They can be lots of fun, and there are certainly some characters that will make you laugh, but professionals can be found elsewhere. If you are new to the industry, look for the professionals. They can be found at sports books in turkey. Ask and look around. Where there is one, there are others. The pro's like to hang out with other pro's. Winners hand out with other winners. Winners create sports betting systems through proper research and common sense. Find out who and where those people are and make friends.
