Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that China is committed to reforming its exchange rate policy. On Monday, U.S. Senators said that it was vital for the United States to pass a legislation that would punish China in case it fails to raise its currency value. China has been managing its rate in order to benefit from advantages in global trade.
