I recognized that the drawdown does not match the trading results. When I compare the values  (let's say for avantifx) on myfxbook the drawdown of 18 % looks reasonable but FXSTAT still shows 6.75 %. How is the calculation done ?

Fxstat offers two types of drawdowns. I searched it over google and found that myfxbook drawdown calculation has been reported as wrong on their own forum. You can also see an independed forum for more information

That is why I do not trust much now on their drawdown calculation.

Hello,

I just did a simple calculation on DEc., 28th the balance "high" was 190,6 K and on Jan., 17th the "low" 156 K, let's say the difference is around 35 K. Now 35K/190K is approximately 18 %. Since myfxbook states they calculate based on closed P/L this sounds reasonable to me.

This is also exactly the point you are refering to. In the example shown in your article it is quite obvious that there are completely different timestamps (last update). If somebody wants to compare strategies he should anyway check if there are open trades, otherwise the results on the closed P/L should be okay.  Of course it would be nice to have a realtime /equity drawdown, then all the grids would be quite fast out o fthe race.

I think they are calculating on average level mean thay are publishing average of draw down.

mw1972 also state a good reason for that if they choose to adopt this way than its really good for provider.

Yes, you need a live drawdown statistic to be realistic.  You only need to check the current equity vs amount in account though to get a view of how the trader is doing.
