If you in trading profesional more than one day then you have read these lines on many places that 90% traders never make a penny and loss all there hard earning money while trading.
So my question to all traders is why 90% traders fail.....in money mangment , greed, proper plan, or any thing else that you feel is the cause of loosing money.
my two other questions to all traders how long you are trading and you are lossing side or making money?

good news for all trader.....now about 70% trader loss and 30% profit, (source from Q2 US Broker profitability report).
I guess why this happen, its because impatient, greed, afraid to cut loss, not set SL, hope that price will turn back, lack of skill reading market movement.
This usually happen to all forex beginner.
I guess to make consistent profit, we have to trade manually, and strict with MM.......most important is our ability to read market,,,,,becareful, chart that looks down not always go down,,,and chart that looks up not always going up.

We already have a discussion on a similar topic. Actually there are different reasons why most of the traders loose. widhie75 has mentioned them. There are many other factors too. But all of these factors are pointing to some major factors. Those major factors are lack of discipline and knowledge.

I agree with Widhie75 and uniquetrader.
I think over leveraging is probably the biggest reason. Sticking 25% of the account on a single trade.
What I've found is that it takes me 24 hours to get x number of PIPs, but only an hour to lose half that. Essentially, it is EASIER to lose than it is to win on trades, despite a 50-50 chance of being right. Even after taking into account S/R levels, risk and limits, etc, it happens.
Also, with so much advertising promoting FOREX as a money machine, it's no wonder all sorts of people want to trade it, but they lack the petience, and expect to be a millionaire in 6 months.

yes that all are great points and that percentage that i mention is for the individual traders only like you and me.
the main factor that i see for failing to any trader is the two main factors first is greed and 2nd is shifting from one strategy to another strategy after some loss not totly following the strategy rules.

More than 90% traders fail in forex and there could be various reasons for the same and they can be lack of patience , discipline , knowledge and analysis, inability to control their emotions, absence of a profitable trading plan or not practicing in demo account .

A study on the Forex shows that 95% of traders lose some of their capital. Losses are usually caused by incompetence.

Yes it is true that only 5 % of the traders make it to the elite group of successful traders and the cause of failures migh vary from one trader to another .

I think now this percentage is declining. Actually now money-managing services are becoming popular. So more people r investing with pro traders and thus less r loosing money.
