Why is there a market gap in forex trading?

Many of us who are new forex users do not know what the market gap is. Why is that? I myself have found evidence of this today when the market opened today on November 2, 2020. The whole dual price suddenly started from 33.60 which was 35.40 till the previous day. This issue was unknown to me later I came to know about this from your threat.
